Summary

The Moonlight Relic sits high atop the Western Reaches, an ancient fortress against invasion from beyond。 An age ago, its enchantments were designed to stabilize the dimensions and defend those who lived there, as well as to be a model for other relics of the same type。 Not long after it was built, it was shattered in a cataclysmic war。

Sam has inherited the only key to the relic that exists on Aster Fall。 Now, he has to repair it before the Outsiders who destroyed it return。 He also has to make Highfold safe for his family while threats rise on every side, including those that have nothing to do with Outsiders。

Primordial enchantments, crafting, and battles await in the third volume of the epic series!

I want more now!!!As usual in the series, this book is good stuff。 Love the progression and the dynamics。 You learn more and more about the problems that Aster fall is having and the MC is learning more and more and how to fix it。 The progression of the MC is good and more the world politics Is being revealed。 Lots was done but lots Left to do。 I enjoyed crafting in the previous books this one had some but less。 Hopefully in future books there is a bit more。 Most of the crafted items are for int I want more now!!!As usual in the series, this book is good stuff。 Love the progression and the dynamics。 You learn more and more about the problems that Aster fall is having and the MC is learning more and more and how to fix it。 The progression of the MC is good and more the world politics Is being revealed。 Lots was done but lots Left to do。 I enjoyed crafting in the previous books this one had some but less。 Hopefully in future books there is a bit more。 Most of the crafted items are for internally use friends and family I would love to see other people enjoy the value of his creations。 Perhaps helping making new allies as he expands he is base of operations and obviously he will need more and more support。 This is one of the better series that I have read at this point and thoroughly enjoy it。 Sometimes I like to wait until there are more than one book available before I dig in so I can get 2 in a row but I couldn't wait this time。 So now I have to wait for the next book。。。 Sad。 。。。more

Better than the last book and about as good as the first。 Sam is getting more powerful and learning more about the world。 I wish the plot with his sister would be resolved here, and it could have been, but they took the “easy” way out。 Looking forward to the next!

Happier than beforeIt's may be that it's been a bit since I read the previous books, but this had a happier and more hopeful vibe。 I love how the characters are developing。 The events, interactions, and world-building are extremely well written。 When reading, it feels natural to envision the story。 I love this series and look forward to reading more—hopefully much more。 Happier than beforeIt's may be that it's been a bit since I read the previous books, but this had a happier and more hopeful vibe。 I love how the characters are developing。 The events, interactions, and world-building are extremely well written。 When reading, it feels natural to envision the story。 I love this series and look forward to reading more—hopefully much more。 。。。more

I enjoyed it 😁Book 3 adds more to the story, answers some question, adds some more。。。。 For as much as a LOT happened and he got his first evolution, it was all expected and there wasn't really a LOT more that happened that was unexpected or new。。。 I enjoyed it 😁Book 3 adds more to the story, answers some question, adds some more。。。。 For as much as a LOT happened and he got his first evolution, it was all expected and there wasn't really a LOT more that happened that was unexpected or new。。。 。。。more

powerMC becomes OP。 Then his hard work pays off。Still a sideline in crafting, with enchanting and scribing being central themes。The last 15% of the novel felt like a long drawn out epilogue。 The primary goal was reached and there was a secondary issue that needed to be resolved, but there was a *lot* of development that also took place。 Chronologically it needed to be there, but its place in the narrative was not ideal。 Some of it would fit better in the next book。Said next book I will eagerly w powerMC becomes OP。 Then his hard work pays off。Still a sideline in crafting, with enchanting and scribing being central themes。The last 15% of the novel felt like a long drawn out epilogue。 The primary goal was reached and there was a secondary issue that needed to be resolved, but there was a *lot* of development that also took place。 Chronologically it needed to be there, but its place in the narrative was not ideal。 Some of it would fit better in the next book。Said next book I will eagerly watch for。 。。。more

A Great Escape into a fun read。Most GameLit and LitRPG books, in my experience, have an overall tendency to lack the more alluring prose of great fantasy books。 The Guardian of Aster Fall series is one of the few exceptions that I have found so far。 This clean, well written, and pretty well edited book is a breath of fresh air。 It's not Hemingway or Wordswoth (thankfully), but the hyperbole within allows imaginations to flourish。 Detailed world building is developed a great deal through inferenc A Great Escape into a fun read。Most GameLit and LitRPG books, in my experience, have an overall tendency to lack the more alluring prose of great fantasy books。 The Guardian of Aster Fall series is one of the few exceptions that I have found so far。 This clean, well written, and pretty well edited book is a breath of fresh air。 It's not Hemingway or Wordswoth (thankfully), but the hyperbole within allows imaginations to flourish。 Detailed world building is developed a great deal through inferences, actions, and dialog rather than through clunky information dumps。 World and character histories are established gradually, and you often learn these histories along with the MC, Sam。Many three-dimensional, dynamic characters draw you into the story; still, Moonlight Relic (and all of the books in the series really) has a large number of its characters leaning so far towards good or evil that ya have to wonder whether the World Core guides its inhabitants towards one extreme or another!Leveling system is not completely unique, but the author has put his own spin on the details。Overall? I'll absolutely keep an eye out for the next in the series。 This is definitely a series that I'll read more than once。 Most of my reading comes from Kindle Unlimited books, but I plan on buying all if these books。The Guardian of Aster Fall books have effectively clobbered my stress, allowing me to escape into the pages enough that time and life beyond the story ceased to exist for hours at a time。If you are looking for a fun story with a great combination of world building/forging, action, crafting, and a (likely) HEA, you should definitely pick up this series。And just an aside: Altey—my favorite character, I believe —is wonderfully fierce, and her big brother Sam makes you wish for one just like him! 。。。more

Excellent bookReally loved the way Sam's powers are developing。 Excellent grammar as well; the use of an editor is evident and the book is much better for it。 Looking forward to the next。 Excellent bookReally loved the way Sam's powers are developing。 Excellent grammar as well; the use of an editor is evident and the book is much better for it。 Looking forward to the next。 。。。more

Kicking butt and taking names!Man Sam was on a tear in this one! It’s one bounty after another, plus his cousin who’s out to kidnap Altey! He doesn’t have time for a breath much less a break it seems! Great fights, cool crafting abilities, some surprising upgrades and more! We also get more background on the history of Aster Fall and the region。 A great continuation, now I just have to wait impatiently for book 4!

Good read to be savouredThis is a really fun series of books to devour, the characters and worlds are believable and you find yourself invested in what happens to them all。。。。。My wish is that the story continues and we see the progression of the world and that happens as soon as possible please

Continues To Provide Excitement The energy is massive here with the changes and battles in this part of the journey。 Truly enjoyed the journey and the close relationships。

Excellent addition to the series Fast paced。 Sam got a lot stronger and he is going against forces that scale up as well。 Excited about the rest of the series。

Solid mid-series entryI still want more development of the secondary characters, but the book was thoroughly enjoyable。 I just wish the main character didn't spend so much time alone, talking to himself or his Magic Alexa。 Solid mid-series entryI still want more development of the secondary characters, but the book was thoroughly enjoyable。 I just wish the main character didn't spend so much time alone, talking to himself or his Magic Alexa。 。。。more

New enemies & more adventure We continue where we last left off the story in the last book。 Challenges previously insurmountable are bit easier but fresh enemies abound。 MC has a realistic character progression though supporting characters have a significantly less role to play in the latest installment。 I still think the way various team members played important roles wasa highlight of this novel and author would do well to not neglect this aspect。 Lone wolf MC stories are aplenty and slightly New enemies & more adventure We continue where we last left off the story in the last book。 Challenges previously insurmountable are bit easier but fresh enemies abound。 MC has a realistic character progression though supporting characters have a significantly less role to play in the latest installment。 I still think the way various team members played important roles wasa highlight of this novel and author would do well to not neglect this aspect。 Lone wolf MC stories are aplenty and slightly disappointed that one of my favourite points for the series is diluted。 Strong plot points and plenty of excitement yet to come hinted at。 Looking forward to the next installment of the series。 。。。more
